Back to School Teacher Planners

Spread the love

When I started teaching over 20 years ago, I was given a horrendous looking brown plastic agenda to use to prepare lessons, and schedule my work life. It was so sad looking, I barely used it. Instead, I chose a Moleskin notebook that was small enough to fit in my bag, had dotted lines so I could mock up quick calendars, but not organized the exact way I would have liked.

Thankfully, there’s been a significant improvement in teacher planners since then. Newer models now include sections for parent communication, notes, weekly and monthly calendars, stickers, and designated areas for lesson plans. These updated planners are both visually appealing and thoughtfully designed to support educators in their roles.

The challenge now is selecting the right planner from the variety available. Just as in teaching, finding the perfect planner involves some trial and error. We’ve curated a selection here to help you find the best planner for your new school year.

Ms. Martha

Erin Condron. The OG teacher planner. Sturdy, and pretty, with a tad, with more space than other planners. If you’re a crafty, and super organized to begin with kind of teacher these are always a good choice.
The Happy Planner. I like this cover so much.
Happy Planner Disc-Bound 12-Month Academic Planner is so cute, too.
Blue Sky 2024-2025 Academic Year Teacher Weekly and Monthly Lesson Planner, 8.5″ x 11″, Hard Cover, Wirebound, Annie Matte.
The JUBTIK teacher planner. The reports are that this one is nice and thin. Also pretty straightforward.
Not technically a teacher planner but the Clever Fox Planner PRO – Weekly & Monthly Life Planner to Increase Productivity could be a fun one to try.
The exact Moleskin I like best for keeping organized. Moleskine Classic Notebook, Soft Cover, Large (5″ x 8.25″) Dotted, Sapphire Blue.
