When I started teaching over 20 years ago, I was given a horrendous looking brown plastic agenda to use to prepare lessons, and schedule my work life. It was so sad looking, I barely used it. Instead, I chose a Moleskin notebook that was small enough to fit in my bag, had dotted lines so I could mock up quick calendars, but not organized the exact way I would have liked.
Thankfully, there’s been a significant improvement in teacher planners since then. Newer models now include sections for parent communication, notes, weekly and monthly calendars, stickers, and designated areas for lesson plans. These updated planners are both visually appealing and thoughtfully designed to support educators in their roles.
The challenge now is selecting the right planner from the variety available. Just as in teaching, finding the perfect planner involves some trial and error. We’ve curated a selection here to help you find the best planner for your new school year.
